Full CMYK Printing to White PVC

Because the print is applied to a white PVC base, colours reproduce cleanly and consistently, making this method particularly suitable for visually detailed designs.

Screen Printing to Coloured PVC

Screen printing is ideal for simpler artwork and strong corporate branding.

With this method, the binder is manufactured using an existing coloured PVC selected from our available swatch range. Your artwork is then screen printed directly onto the PVC.

Screen printing can be produced in up to four PMS colours, making it particularly suitable for logos, text and simple graphic elements where exact brand colours are important.

One of the advantages of screen printing is that the coloured PVC itself becomes part of the overall design.

Print Wrap Ring Binders

Print wrap binders are one of the most versatile options for full-colour and detailed artwork.

With this construction method, the artwork is printed onto paper skins and finished with a matt celloglaze. These printed skins are then wrapped around 2400 micron board to create the finished binder.

The result is a rigid, fully printed binder with excellent image quality and a premium presentation.

Print wrap binders are particularly well suited to:

Because the entire outer skin is printed before being wrapped around the board, the artwork can extend across the front cover, spine and back cover.

The matt celloglaze finish provides added protection while also creating a smooth, refined surface.

If you are looking for a rigid binder with detailed full-colour artwork, print wrap is often one of the best choices.

Polypropylene Ring Binders

Polypropylene ring binders are a highly durable option designed for environments where the binder needs to withstand regular handling, dirt, moisture and general wear.

Polypropylene is a tough plastic material that can be wiped clean, making it particularly well suited to industrial, trade and outdoor working environments.

These binders can be produced with either full CMYK printing or screen printing, depending on the artwork and the finish required.

Full CMYK printing is ideal for detailed branding, photographs and full-colour graphics, while screen printing is a good option for simpler logos, text and limited-colour designs.

Polypropylene binders are particularly well suited to:

Buckram Ring Binders

Buckram binders are our premium, high-end binder option.

Buckram has a distinctive canvas-style look and feel, giving the binder a more tactile and luxurious appearance than standard PVC or printed finishes.

The buckram material is available in a selection of set colours from our swatch range.

Branding can then be applied directly to the buckram using either screen printing or foil stamping.

This option is particularly suited to:

The textured surface gives buckram binders a very different character to standard printed PVC or print wrap binders.

Screen printing can also be used where solid-colour branding is required.

Because buckram binders rely on the texture and colour of the material itself, they are generally best suited to simpler artwork rather than complex full-colour imagery.

Which Custom Ring Binder Printing Style Should You Choose?

The right option depends on the type of artwork, how the binder will be used and the overall finish you are trying to achieve.

Choose full CMYK printing to white PVC if your artwork contains photography, gradients, full-colour imagery or intricate graphics and you want a clean, professional binder suitable for everyday office, presentation or corporate use.

Choose screen printing to coloured PVC if you have simpler branding, logos or text using up to four PMS colours and want the PVC colour itself to form part of the design.

Choose polypropylene if durability and practicality are the priority. Polypropylene binders are ideal for demanding environments such as mining, construction, automotive and industrial workplaces, as they are tough, water resistant and easy to wipe clean. They can be produced with either full CMYK printing or screen printing.

Choose print wrap if you want a rigid premium binder with vibrant full-colour artwork, detailed imagery or a completely printed exterior finished with matt celloglaze.

Choose buckram if you are looking for a high-end, tactile binder with a premium canvas-style finish and simpler screen printed or foil-stamped branding.

There is no single binder style that is best for every project. The ideal option depends on your artwork, intended use, working environment, quantity and the overall finish you want to achieve.
